WHAT IS PRP?
You’ve probably heard of the magic of PRP (platelet-rich plasma). This natural therapy uses your body’s own intrinsic healing and anti-aging capabilities to take years off your skin and body. PRP involves drawing a small amount of your own blood and spinning it in a centrifuge – a process that separates platelets from red blood cells, leaving behind highly concentrated plasma. The “yellow gold,” as it’s described, is then injected back into your skin.
You can use PRP for a “Face Lift” or “Breast Lift” in which it’s injected like fillers. It can also be used to help you grow back your hair (hair restoration). Last but certainly not least, it can be used to make sex a transcendental experience; our “Wow Shot” involves injecting platelet-rich plasma into the genitalia to increase blood flow, nerve function, and collagen production, thus improving sensation.
WHAT IS PRP FOR SKIN WITH MICRONEEDLING?
For this treatment, blood is extracted and centrifuged for 10 minutes to separate PRP from poor plasma. After the separation, the healthy PRP is then applied via a microneedling pen to your skin. The procedure may cause mild pain, but is generally tolerable. After the treatment, you will see an immediate improvement in your skin firmness. Your skin will be more radiant and will feel tighter. Two to three treatments every six to eight weeks are recommended for best results.
WHAT IS PRP FOR HAIR WITH MICRONEEDLING?
Similarly to the skin treatment, we will begin by extracting blood and separating the PRP. Afterward, the platelet-rich plasma will be applied to thinning regions on the head. Some bleeding may occur after the treatment – this is completely normal! Typically, 3 treatments at 6-week intervals are recommended for best results.
